About Me
My Mission
I’m on a mission to advance my career. I see myself in positions of leadership, working efficiently in groups, and making a difference in the world. In combination with my experience, my key personality traits such as my drive, passion, determination, and loyalty make me a well-rounded candidate for essentially any position or job I apply to.
My Backstory
I have been born and raised in La Verne, California. I attended high school at Bonita in La Verne, California where I spent most of my time in athletics, choir, leadership, and volunteering. The pandemic led me to choose Cal Poly Pomona and commute from my home in La Verne where I live with my parents and younger sister. I enjoy spending time with friends and family. Disneyland is like a second home to me; I have performed there with school choirs multiple times. I also enjoy watching movies, listening to music, making food, drawing or painting, working out, and self-care.
I am currently a fourth-year Business Management and Human Resources major at Cal Poly Pomona (CPP). I am an ASI Student Interest Council Senator-at-Large, a retired student-athlete, Kellogg Honors College student, CPP Farm Store employee, and CPP Mentor Collective mentor. In my free time I attend Womxn's Resource Center and Hermanas Unidas de CPP club events. I enjoy volunteering my time to organizations in which I feel I can make a difference, specifically student government.
I was a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) since 2020. I began as a member, representing my team, and then eventually became President in my third year. I worked with my fellow teammates, student-athlete peers, and administrators to improve the life of a student-athlete and get more involved in the community.
I am so thankful to have chosen Cal Poly Pomona. The opportunities are endless at this university. Through SAAC, I have found an avenue for student-athletes to become more represented in ASI. In May of 2023, I was voted in as ASI's Student Interest Council Senator-at-Large where I supervise and represent all non-academic clubs and athletics on campus. Also through athletics, I have found a passion for sports management as I helped hire the new CCAA Commissioner as the only student-athlete on the committee. Through the Kellogg Honors College, I was made aware of and attended a program for students interested in an MBA. The program, SIEML, gave me a scholarship to attend any UC MBA program of my choice!
During the summer of 2023, I interned with the financial advising company Modern Woodmen of America where I worked with a team to consult and perform financial analysis all while learning about the industry. After completing the internship I have been asked back to participate in their ambassador program until I graduate and then hopefully receive a job offer in 2025!
After completing my undergraduate degree in 2025, I hope to enter the workforce either within the CCAA office or at Modern Woodmen until I get into an MBA or Sports Management Masters program. From there, I will have the education, experience, and resources to fully advance my career and make a difference in whichever industry I desire.
